FROM THE BEACH TO THE HILLS
East Quarter Reserve gives you a place to get outside in the neighbourhood, while Pāpāmoa Beach is there for walks on the sand, a swim or an afternoon with the family. When you feel like a change of scenery, Pāpāmoa Hills Regional Park offers walking tracks and views across the coast.

New World at The Sands is around two minutes from East Quarter by car, with cafés and places to eat there too. FreshChoice on Coast Boulevard and PAK’nSAVE on Domain Road give you more choice for groceries, while Pāpāmoa Beach Family Practice is on Golden Sands Drive for healthcare.
Getting Around the Bay
From East Quarter, it’s approximately 20 km to Mount Maunganui’s town centre and 22 km to the Tauranga CBD by road. The Pāpāmoa East interchange also gives you access to the Tauranga Eastern Link when you’re heading towards Te Puke or further afield. If you’d rather leave the car at home, Baybus Route 2 serves The Boulevard and connects Pāpāmoa with Bayfair and Tauranga city.
School days, close to home
For younger kids, Golden Sands Early Learning Centre is among the local options, while Golden Sands School and Te Manawa ō Pāpāmoa School are nearby for primary years. Pāpāmoa College caters for Years 7–13, so families can explore schooling options as their kids grow.
